Today I finally accomplished what I’d been putting off for over a week: I am completely packed. My life for the next three months is stuffed into two suitcases and a backpack.
In those two suitcases and a backpack are two jackets, six pairs of jeans, 4 scarves, 4 pairs of shoes, and countless shirts, socks, underwear, etc.
However, these are not the most important items.
These are:
1. Favy fav purse
Self explanatory. It’s my favy fav.
2. 3 Boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese
I live on this stuff. I want to come prepared.
3. Granola Bars
Om nom nom. Easy b-fast.
4. Twilight & Pride and Prejudice DVD’s
In my book, probably the worst and the best movie ever made, although both equally awesome. I admit that Twilight sucks. But there’s no way I’m leaving it home when New Moon comes out in November!
And I’m definitely taking Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightly version) because a.) Fav movie and
b.) I want to try my darndest to find that cliff she stands on.
5. Peanut Butter
I heard peanut butter is just not the same in the UK as in the states. I should probably bring more.
6. Catchphrase
BEST GAME EVER. I wasn’t going to bring it, but after a 2 sec debate with myself I came to the conclusion there was no way I’d leave home without it.
Unfortunately, there are some items near and dear to my heart that I am forced to leave behind.
The Left-Behinds
1. Hunger Games and Catching Fire
I so wanted to bring these books with me. However, as you can see from the above pictures, I have no room left in either suitcase or backpack. They have to stay home :(
Ps. If you haven’t read these, please go out and buy them NOW! They are amazing. Team Peeta 4-EVA.
2. The Host
Ever since Emily bought this for me for my birthday last year, I’ve read it every single Finals Week (mostly because it’s AWESOME, but also to distract me from Finals Week).
No room. Sadface.
3. WALL-E
WALL-E’s staying home. He’s sadface.

[Ps. Since the 5th is almost impossible, four is acceptable. If you get the 5th, you get an extra big gold star]
4. GQ Cover of R.Pattz
Sigh. I really wanted to take you, GQ R. Pattz, but I didn’t want to 1st-hand embarrass myself after I
Ps. Rob, it’s totally ok that I have a boyfriend because you’re on my Celeb To Do list and Brent says that’s ok.
And last but not least…
5. The Boyfriend
Sadface. By far the hardest part about leaving is leaving Brent behind. We kind of had a test-run of the sitch last summer when he went to Mexico for six weeks. It was hard, but we figured out how to make it work and it was completely fine.
This will be twice as long as Mexico. Although I am 100% positive I am going to lose it when he drops me off at the airport, I know that other couples have been away from each other for even longer periods of time and came out of it just fine. I’m confident we’ll be able to make this work too.
Next post will be from across the pond! Not sure when I’ll have time to write the first one, however once I get a cell I should be updating my Twitter. Follow me here.

Alyssa this is so exciting! You're going to have an amazing experience and I'm happy you got all your packing done. I'm impressed how much you fit into 2 suitcases and a backpack. Did you have to fit a laptop? Because then you did EXCELLENT packing. lol
Also, I LOVE blue box mac & cheese and peanut butter and Pride&Prejudice!! And then mention of your Celeb to do list that Brent approves! lol
You and Brent will be A-OK!! It sucks and "losing it" usually happens after the goodbye but I think you guys will be fine. =)
Oh, and the books.
1. Twilight Director's Notebook
2. Eclipse
3. Breaking Dawn
4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
5. Gone with the Wind
Enjoy London!!
Yay Eden!! You get extra credit AND a super duper gold star! Haha.
My laptop isn't included in those items, it'll be in another bag as my "personal item". It didn't fit anywhere else.
Yayy Gold Star =)
I still think you did an awesome job with the packing!!
